Most people have dreams and goals, but what happens to people who do not know exactly how to achieve their goals? Do they give up or do they keep going? I believe losing is a state of mind. If you say “I want to be able to bench 500 pounds in the next 3 years” and you are only able to lift 350 does that make you a failure?
Regardless of what you do, people might tell you that you are a failure. You have to step out on faith. If you do not try then you already failed. You will not succeed if you don’t try. Have you ever notice that failures have the most creative ideas? They never go through with their ideas. Somehow they talk themselves out of doing it. Why are these people all talk? What are the factors that make people give up without trying?
People who consider themselves or other people failures simply have a negative view of the world. Since having a negative attitude is unproductive, people who see failure are more likely to gravitate to failure themselves. So if you consider yourself or someone you know a failure, just change your mind, and if you are worried that other people think you are a failure, don’t worry about it. Stay positive and know that failure is a state of mind. Just because you can’t lift 500 doesn’t mean you are a failure adjust your goal a little. If I shoot for the stars and hit the moon I think I can live with that.
